My tech found I was running the tube too low. I had it biased at 9MA per half(as per the tube manual) and that was rolling off the top end. That was the main cause but he also put a 47UF cap after the 100 ohm resistor. That in itself lowered the impedance of the power supply. It is drawing 20 MA per half and it sounds awesome. I know some are saying the tube life will be shortened considerably but who cares? This preamp sounds awesome. Besides, 6SN7's are cheap. I haven't listened to anything but CD since it was changed and I hate CD, but not any more. I am actually looking foward to getting a good player and DAC.
