I have the bulk eraser from RS as well. I was using it primarily to erase VHS tapes. Now that I got back into cassettes, I'm using it on those. However, the machine has to 'rest' after certain usage intervals, especially with metal cassette tapes. And the results are not always 100%. Usually, a second try will pretty much do it if the first fails. Kind of a PIA, but better than wearing out your heads I suppose. If you buy this eraser be SURE not to lose the directions, because they vary greatly on what kind of tape you are erasing!
