That's true... but...

Erasing a previously recorded tape on a deck may or may not completely erase it. If the heads were aligned differently on the recording deck than the one erasing it, you could have a thin strip of unerased tape. It might not show up on the deck that did the erase job, but it could become apparent if you play it back on a different deck.

So that's why I use a bulk eraser. Plus it's much quicker.
