I have had this deck for 25 years without problems. I was told by a repair service (Nakamichi Specialist) that this is a great deck made by Alps. My tapes, to this day sound great, and I have begun to digitize my collection. I can hardly distiquish from cd recordings with the original cds.Just this week, the deck failed to move in play or record mode. Rewind and fast forward work and I get the feeling that the belts are finally going.
Was this as good a deck as I have thought and the Nak guy says? And should I have it fixed or go and buy a used deck to continue the digitizing of my collection.
