Yes. Masterlink is the Rols Royce of recorders. You first record on a built in hard drive, edit tracks, cut unwanted parts and then burn CD.

Masterlink can record in 96/24 format and make 96/24 CDs (around 20 minutes each) .No other CD will recognize it because it is not redbook 44.1/16bit standard. They can be ripped to PC hard drive for storage and playback or played on Masterlink.

Of course, you can record in 96/24 and then make 44.1/16bit copies to CD.

Masterlink is the best you can buy. If you want to go cheaper, I can recommmend HHB 830 CD recorder. Also professional tool. It records only in 44.1/16bit but has awesome analog to digital converter, also sounds amazingly well as a CD player (as a transport or stand alone.)

If your vinyls are without loud pops and your turntable/preamp fairly competent one you will be floored by result - your transfer will sound WAY better than commercial CD, comparable to audiophile editions. On many occasions, you can listen to CD copy to save your prized vinyl and not losing much of listening pleasure.

If you have a good vinyl collection, this is a must have tool.
