Your Otari is unbalanced anyway or at least mine was. Just put XLR to RCA converters on the other end of your cable and don't hack up the Otari. You can buy them at Rat shack. One of the two hot leads of the balanced line must be grounded which I believe it already is on the Otari's output. RCA phono jacks are horrible connectors not tolerated in any professional installation. Ray
