Counterpoint owners manual suggest you disconnect your cassette deck when using other sources due to degraded sound by the tape deck. I once was recording and later that day I was listening to LP's when I noticed that the sound was smaller and was more dirty sounding, then I remembered about this instruction and unplugged the cassette deck. Everything sounded great again. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't heard for myself. I have never heard this on Solid State preamps only on tube preamps.Steve.
