I was an engineer at Kybe. It was a great place to work and ot always pleases me to see these old machines running. If you want to run narrower tape on it, you can lower the tension and current limit settings. There are two adjustment potentiometers on the motor drive board mounted on the back side of the deck. The current limit is the one at the top of the board and the tension is the one on the side. You'll need a small screwdriver to adjust. Experiment with it and you should figure it out. Good luck!
