The service man is riht, its a principle most businesses would do well to learn. My accountant gave it a name but I forgot the name. This principle belongs in good business, but I cant remember the accounting term for it. There is one though.
I can only speak of Chinese amps from 20 years ago. I stripped a Chineese se 845. I was so disapointed with the sound. I decided to strip it all and salvage something I hoped to make good of.
Found nothing at all of any value. The design principals were a complete anathema to anything I would have done. Such as I always use centre tapped ht transformer and valve rectifiers. They didnt. I always use choke input, they didnt they used voltage doublers. I either use Black Gate wkz's, motor run polyprops or paper in oil caps, or based on Stephie 572b shunt regulators instead of caps; They didnt.
Ill not bore you with the signal circuit design.
There were no quality signes of any kind anywhere and the iron was useless to me.
