Re: what tubes are you using

The TJs are not renowned for their bass performance. I understand it may be a point of weakness with the TJ pseudo-mesh plates. This may vary depending on implementation. Not sure how much of a difference changing tubes would make... Do some people really refer to TJ pseudo-mesh as having the voice of a eunuch?

Disclaimer: I have never heard the TJs - just going on others' opinions, so take with a grain of salt.
