I'm currently using Dale P/N RW 67V 201 5 watt wirewound resistors for cryogenic use..I'm interested in finding a lower power resistor, say 2 watts, 200 ohm, still wirewound...
Anybody have any experience with ww resistors and stability through cryo treatment, and can recommend a reliable part?
Any parts I try will be dunked in liquid nitrogen 10 times, straight from a 150 C oven, with kelvin data recorded after every cryo dunk.
BTW, the dale RW 67v? I had 6,200 units screened in this fashion, with one failure...It was the wrong part number mixed in the shipment...
And of the 5000 in liquid helium....no failures to date, three years operation..
Thanks.
Cheers, John
