Sadly no, there does not seem to be a common sense limit. I will not succumb to the you must try something to know if it is BS.In this case, it might be argued a steel outlet plate MIGHT make some slight difference (not very likely). However, if I wanted to test this affect I would take the outlet cover off, and then if there was an affect buy a $2 plastic plate from home depot.
The reduced wall resonances is a joke (but then so is the product).
To ask $25 for this product is simply a ripoff. Although, my hat is off to Geoff, another low $$ investment in materials product marketed with a small bit of physics and pseudo science to the 'open minded'.
