There's no more evidence that this wouldn't work than a lot of other things audiophiles buy and trust. Special wooden knobs. Certain CD duplicators. Special wire. Little elevators to hold them off the floor. Why draw the line here. Especially since you haven't even tried it yet. Or have you? Why should audiophiles ridicule someone elses religion when they so vehemently defend their own? They have a name for that sort of thing.
