HowdyWho cares what a law is named. I think it's silly to remember Joule's law or it's name if you already know Ohm's law. I also thought it was silly that my daughter was counted off on a physics exam because she used the ideal gas law instead of choosing Boyle's, Charles's, Avogadro's etc. and further one of the questions was basically to correctly name Charles's law. Who cares? If you remember one law and can trivially derive other related laws, why worry what they are named. (At least when I took physics I got more credit for deriving all of the formulae I needed for the Doppler effect questions from 1st principles because I didn't bother remembering any of them.)
