If you want an exchange of ideas, then exchange them. Quit the personal verdettas and deal with the topic.I don't engage in vendettas against people. I engage in vendettas against abusive behavior, dogmatic thinking, audio and scientific mythology, pseudo-science and the anti-rational.
The person I have had the most heated exchanges with on this board is John Curl. If it were personal with me, why would I have recently purchased a pair of JC-1s from his partner, Bob Crump.
There are hundreds of people who post on this board. Many are engineers and scientists, and most who post here leave me in the dust when it comes to technical issues. I choose to act as a self-appointed monitor of the absurd and irrational. That's my unwelcome contribution.
I'm not out to win any popularity contests, and am clearly an equal opportunity offender. I'll take on either side when I think abussive behavior or garbage science is being tossed around.
The fact that you single me out and let the shinanigans of certain other individuals go unchecked speaks volumes about the kind of board you want this to be. Remember, it was Jon who started this with his innane and uncalled for "Public Service Warning"
His post was just as offensive as the stupid Daily AA Quote that used to appear daily at AR, mocking this entire board by picking out isolated posts. I spoke out forcefully against that practice and took a lot of crap for doing so. But, then again, you wouldn't know about that and wouldn't have given me credit even if you had, because I don't toe the AA line and worship daily the AA gods.
