(Maybe someone else who is more-familiar with cable construction can chime in here to provide more details. Jon Risch would probably be a good resource.)

Most-definitely. "RFI bleedthrough" can greatly impact the rig's listenability (fatigue), and I think it is an even bigger issue in digital playback than jitter. Although unlike characteristic impedance and bandwidth, "RFI bleedthrough" does not necessarily exacerbate jitter problems.
This is the sole reason why I've switched to optical (Toslink) cables, and never looked back.
