Thanks for the thoughtful comments on timing, and timing is certainly important for SPDIF.I am not sure I understand the properties of cable though, that define 'high bandwidth' vs 'low bandwidth'. If a cable has the proper terminations and provides a true 75ohm connection, what else is needed to be 'high bandwidth'?
