My preamp which had been dead quiet since its purchase now has a low level hum. This preamp noise coincides with the time frame of the other anomalies I've mentioned.My transport gives me an electrical shock every now and then when tweaking around with my non-stock footers. I use a PC on this device that has a removable ground wire. I get the shock sensation whether the little grounding spade is attached to the chassis, or not. I disconnected my audio system before help arrived this morning and the bath fan switch issue remained.
This non-electrician handyman looked at the matter and we found that the damper sound I mentioned occurs near both of the hall light fixtures I mentioned under issue 1. It always occurs as the bath fan switch is turned off.
An electrician will be looking at my situation this afternoon, or first thing in the morning.
