Surprised the hell out of me."Any sound coming out of your speakers from hitting a microphone or phono cartridge cable is due to vibrations traveling throught the wire until they reach the cartridge or the microphone and being converted to an electrical signal by those transducers just the way the will convert any other vibration. It is not due to any electrical phenomenon in the wire. This assumes your connectors are solid and secure.
