You know I should have choosen my words more carefully. They can be. I have seen it with microphone cables and at home in my quadamped set-up. At home it's some low capacitance phono cable I used to run between the preamp outs and my EQ's. Was moving stuff around and low and behold if it hit the cable I could hear it through the woofer. Surprised the hell out of me.So perhaps you need special cable? Or something in the set-up???
You certainly don't need Special ears? Mine are probably just like yours

Special believes? Hardly because I use mostly well made generic cables in that rig. Mostly balanced cables from my local music store. If I tried to use "audiophille cables" in that set-up it would cost more than the amps, crossovers, EQ's and drivers combined.
