Well...you can go to school and learn the books

What it actually takes more then just technical knowledge is an ear for it
Period!
There are tons of people who can technically do it and just
cant get it right cause plain and simple they dont have an ear for it

Theres lots of booksmart people that cant scratch there way out
of a paper bag when it comes down to being on out there turning knobs and making it come across right

Find yourself a local band that needs a sound guy and dive right into it..
Hang out in clubs and dont be afraid to talk to guys on the mix
Keep an open mind and see what your up against
Just cause someone says...I want to be an astronaut...dosnt mean
they have what it takes to do it.
