Re: Who makes the best sounding Ampifiers??

In the pro realm, durability "outweighs" quality.

The best pro sound I used was actually Crown, Carver, Krest.

Carver had the durability and bottom...for sure.

Crown had even more durability, and midrange power.

Crest was a go between amp. Did every thing correct...( as pro application goes)....but would "woody out" after 2 hours of bass punishment...seemed to have "not enough ventilation"\

The Carvers were simply "bullet proof" on deep bass!!!!

QSC was a good amp too....but the Carvers, slightly less durable than the QSC's

Carver had the sound, everynight you would find a "cold one" out of 64 units.

Crown would do at least 3 Cold Ones. at those levels...blown fuses.

QSC was 0% defective, but had no "Phat bass"

Krest was between all odds....all of the above, and unpredictable as far as sound, defect, and enjoyment. the simple best average.

Remember, we pushed them all at 130% for 3 hours....

( Asked them for more than spec.ed)

A great concert would have so many amps that it would hurt you to drive past 15% amp power, making the mps reliable.

Hope this helps.
