Go with the Crown CE series amps. They have THX certification and in my home listening tests, they can truly rival the home hi-fi gear. They have more than enough power to meet your needs and they can be had for a few hundred dollars each -- not a few thousand! The cooling fans only come on when you drive the amps to their max for long periods of time -- they hardly ever come on during even the rowdiest action flicks. Happy shopping.
