I was refering to the acoustic centers of each driver that makes up a line array. That is if several point sources are stacked in a vertical array and are spaced less than 1 wl apart ctc then I would think the sound 'travels out cylindrically'.
If the devices are horn loaded then the physical center of each device is farther from its 'neighbor' due to the horn flare.
I guess another way to ask this is, does the horn affect the upper freq limit for which proper coupling will occurr to become a 'line array'.
