thanks for your reply....I guess I should include a budget. I should have stated the price range that is near the plx price range.....I know there are some rediculous amps out there in 'hi-end', so I wanted to focus on 'hifi'
how does the plx (or similar amps like Crown CE) compare to Adcom, Acurus, Bryston, Carver, NAD , Rotel etc..... that is the budget range I was talking about....
pwr ratings aside (since the pro amps do have more power), just the resulting sound is what I am after. If the pro amp has severe headroom , oh well....that in itself can make the amp sound better than it's competitor.....regardless of goldplated posts, anodized aluminum faceplate, etc...
