Yea, sounds like another music lover coming of age, the audiphile board is just around the corner. Pretty soon you will be able to hear a CD without an amp LOL. There's more going on besides compression, the diddleing of the spectrum around our most sensative hearing range is being applied also. So the (absolute zero) CD is here. It can't get much louder. I like Black Crows, but their CD's cause distortion on my system. I have a rack full of compressors. But, I don't use them like that. Just a touch here and there to tame some wild sounds, and get a better average level. Pretty much the norm.--db
