Just this past weekend I did a CD archival copy of a 35 year old, often played LP... one of my favorites.Goldwave did a great job, and after removing the Rice Krispies via the pop/click filter, the resulting sound was amazingly clear!
On another LP, from the 1950's, there was still some crackle that could not be removed, but it was still much, much better than before.
This is just too easy, and the cost nil.
