In my disc jockey daze I finally settled on the AKG 240 series. I've been using those for the last 20 years. I'm so used to their sound that it's hard to go to something else! I also use their 270 series since it is a sealed design and good for noisy locations (like remote sports broadcasts). Drawbacks to the 240 and especially 270 is size and weight.
