Ok folks here is one that has us all stumped.... I would sincerely appriecate any insight into this quagmire! Is there any hardware or software setups that I could use to allow me to set audio levels for discrete audio files ( say MP3 or WAV ) and video files ( say MPG or Windows Media ) to be the same. It seems all the software systems allow you to adjust levels but it is relative to the file itself and all the hardware I have tried have a long delay before compression or expansion sets in or doesnt detect smale 2-3 DB variances. My perfect system or device would be a piece of hardware that allows an audio input to be regulated ( compressed or expanded )to a very strict tolerance - Something that I would assume radio stations or better yet TV stations must use since they get media froma variety of sources and cannot control the production of all the media and they need some way of making all the audio levels very close. Any ideas would be most appreciated.
