Remastering the CD is cool.
First...take it to analog, and record the two track on the 24Bit multitrack.Bounce the 2 track like this.

4R
5L
6R
7L
8RThat gives me 8 tracks to play with.
I eq, plug in, compress, de noise, fix, repai, overhaul...then remix to digital 24/384hZ
Then to the DAW.
Remaster.
Drop to a new CD.
Listen...On several systems.
Revisit.
Finalize.No Problem.
Now the But......
If you go back to the original master tapes, the Demo can go to professional levels...provided that mixing is done with proper taste, the artist intentions on chamber, levels and feel are adheared to.
Going back to the top is always "better".
