I did some checking. The Sony amp is the SRPP-50. Full Compass says it is discontinued, but it is still in their computer. They suggested calling Sony direct to see if one might be warehoused. You probably are not going to find this amp on the used market. I know what interested me in it. It is the name. SRPP in the "tube world" is "shunt regulated push pull" and refers to a particular topology. It just struck me as curious, as I am working on some SRPP tube circuits, that Sony would make a transistor amp and use that designator.Anyway, I know this is of little interest probably, but it sure got my attention. I am familiar with Alesis in hands on but not ART. I would probably steer you towards the RA-150. It may be a coin toss, but if it were my money that's what I would do.
