Need to know sound quality differences between Carver Pro and home amps + Crest pro

Can anyone offer there two cents on the sonic differences between a Carver Pro amp (like a PM-1200) and one of their home amps (like a M 1.0t, which is what I own)? Also on the sound of Crest CA series would be appreciated.
