On a Tour with Roy Clark, we used 24 1.5T carvers, and they were pretty bulletproof, and gave a hi fi sound. We had one go out, and it was due to a faulty loudspeaker.Crest amps a very reliable, but they tend to sound less hi fi, with midrange that can burn your ears quickly. I think the Carver amps had the easyiest on the ears sound, and pleasing performance.
