i had a 300W/pc crest amp about ten years ago in my bass guitar rig.
i thought it sounded very good- nice punch, good control etc...
unfortunately, the model i had (wish i could remember which one) didn't have a very good protection circuit. a really bad soldering job on a speaker cable did in one channel in about five seconds.
too bad. my new amp, an SWR, is a very different story...
