Hi, Ted:

I wanted to also recommend the Milabs which have the rectangular diaphragm, such as the DC-96-B. I happen to own and occasionally use a pair of their VIP-50's when recording strings and they are really something very special. The advantage of the VIP-50 over the DC-96-B is that they are multi-pattern.
