You don't bring democracy to anyone by building a wall around them; our success with Cuba in that regard is a shining example of the stupidity of isolation. The way you bring freedom to the Chinese and any other victims of oppression is to bring them into the general world economy. When the Chinese have been sufficiently exposed to the benefits of capitalism they will change their regime; we don't have to do it for them. The lesson learned from the USSR is that communism is an inherently flawed system that will collapse of it's own volition sooner or later. What we couldn't accomplish in Vietnam after sacrificing 50,000 of my brothers we accomplished in Europe without firing a shot. Just give it time. Semper Fi.
