In my second band (I play in two, of course), my guitarist uses an EP2500, one channel for his guitar rig's power section, and the second channel for the monitors in our rehearsal space!!!I can't vouch for the sound quality overall in a stereo system, but we've NEVER clipped the amp and it doesn't run hot at all (nice cool air out of the vents) in any of our uses (even for two 18 subs at gigs!).
BTW, he plays VERY loud, though not enough to reduce his 4 x12" Marshall cabinet to ashes (thank God!).
