HiI have a HP 7500e external CD burner - think it has a 'cut-down' version of Adaptec Easy CD. Only have 680MB free - I tried feeding my AR turntable into a modified PSIII phono preamp (with ~50dB gain @1khz) - this fed the 'mic' input of my sound card - I didn't seem to get anything out of the PC's speakers but I didn't start the recorder software.
A few questions:
(1) Should I be able to burn from analog without purchasing a larger hard drive and WAV editor?
(2) IF so, how should I properly use the stuff I already have???
(3) Assuming it can be done - will I need to make an attenuator for the phono preamp's output as to not overload the sound card's input?
I really hope I can use what I have!! - my heath and energy levels are very low making simple things rather tough. Pleaswe guide me though the procedure IF it can be done on my setup. The HP manual doen't seem to explain. Thanks
Freddy
