I'm getting a bunch of new gears for my church PA. One of these being a compressor that will be pluged into the mixer's insert jack on one of the channels, using a Y-cable. The compressor has a -10dBV/+4dBu switch, and since the signal going to the compressor is unbalanced should the compressor be working at -10dBV or +4dBu level?
Also on the main insert of the mixer, I've got an eq and BBE sonic Maximizer 882. Should I use a balanced connection between the EQ and the BBE, eventhough the signal coming to the EQ and the signal going out of the BBE are unbalanced?
I'm so confused!
