Yes I do. I was rather surprised when I discovered a local University using a PCM by Sansui (14bit) and a VCR for their masters.With this setup, Analog Hi FI would have been better.
If you do not professional maintain the rotary heads at 10 hour intervals (something consumers probably fail to do)their is a chance of mistrack.
It was replaced with a DAT.
Rich obviously has never used professional HI VI SVHS machines. I fing the analog performance to be top notch, with nary a glitch.
Like any FINE equipment, it is only as good as the operator, and the maintainence.
