It's simple.
My setup with a quality (already dated, a little tweaked though) USB DAC Gustard A18 attached has clearly beaten that tuned Eversolo DMP-A6. I was happy with my setup without knowing that. Anyhow. That's my benchmark for now.
I am not claiming there's no better stuff out there. All I am saying, by applying some serious tweaks to a RPI5 based streaming system - I actually run an all-in-one system - there's a chance you can beat this or that commercial device out there. Now. I am well aware that many people out here doesn't have the skills or motivation to push an RPi5 based streaming system to its limit.
Fair enough. If you don't want to or can't go that track, stick to commercial products and don't waste your time on a rather mediocre basic RPI streamer setup.
