Rene, Others...After many people asking about this I bought the unit Rene did and tried it out. Now these work basically with the power applied but sound...well less than adequet.
The reason Rene did this was he bought one of the first Bricks. Since he is in Europe I did not have an international power supply and sold the Brick to him with a switching supply. Stating that when I got finished with the international supply that I would send him.
He sold the unit pretty quickly so he never got to try the real power supply.
Basically all these battery supplies work while connected to the AC. But unplugged they do not stay in regulation because of the current draw of the Brick.
Therefore it does not sound as good in the long run with the battery supply.
