Gear can be properly sheilded and still have ground loops, if the system is configured that way. And conversely, noise can get into a system when sheilding is broken, not properly connected, etc. They are two diffferent pheonoms.I don't about the "live" knob/chassis, maybe someone else here does. Not good is right.
