Whereas I wouldn't attempt to dispute the above claim. (it makes sense to me) I'd like to add that I use 75 ohm Canare video cable with 75 ohm BNC terminations. My Assemblage DAC2 has a BNC input. But I've never had a transport or soundcard source with BNC digital outputs. So I have to use an RCA adapter. It sounds very good and it's definitely better than the RCA "digital" cables I've tried. Would it sound better with BNC output from the source end ? Probably. But I feel this is probably better than an all RCA cable. My point here is that I get good results with RCA adapters (one) YMMV.
