I don't know if the 6SN7s have a similar function in the MP-3, but I also have tried Raytheon 6SN7GTs in my preamp and like the sound. Even as voltage gain (V1) tubes in the M-60s they sound nice. Only a smidge less smooth than my top two choices. RCA gray glass are very nice as well.

Does the MP-1 use 12AU7s?
