In fairness, I think LAN is saying that he prefers the circlotron topology to the totem pole topology. Presumably he HAS heard and compared amps of those two types in order to develop this opinion. He then lets us know that he has not heard the T16 specifically, which is also fair. Since nearly all or all OTLs I can think of fall into one of those two design groups, it's difficult not to develop a bias for one over the other, if one has heard amps of both types in one's home on the same speakers with the same front end components, etc. I hope and trust that this is an open forum for all things OTL, no longer the ASOG site exclusively.
