I too am very happy with my Atma-sphere amps and have no intention of changing horses at this point, but I too had a long experience with a variety of Futterman-type amps (not including NYAL ones). I am not at all surprised that the NYAL OTL3/Watt Puppy pairing was a poor one, but I now wonder what would happen if one were to interpose a pair of Zero autoformers. Might sound a whole lot better. As I recently mentioned elsewhere, I once paired Futterman amps with Magnepans, the older ones that did not have the ribbon tweeter. Boy, did that ever s**k. But Zeros might have saved the day. Futtermans worked badly with the second generation M-L CLS II's, too, although they sounded great with CLS Is, Quads, KLH 9s (the speaker Julius was targeting with the H3aa, IMO). All of the latter presented reactive, generally high impedance loads, except at very high frequencies.
