If you choose an appropriate pair of spkrs, then really just listen before you perform any major "overhaul" on your MA1s. My advice would be (1) don't apply negative feedback just to make your test results for output Z and distortion look better; the sound quality will suffer in direct proportion to the number of dbs of NFB, IMO. If you sense an impedance mismatch between the MA1 and your spkrs, try using Zeros at the interface. And (2) my rational but totally unfair bias vis the Tenor amps, which I have never even seen let alone heard, is that they provide little power per dollar and that NO piece of audio gear using a 12AX7 input voltage amplifier can possibly compete sonically with one using a 6SN7/12SX7 input, regulation or no regulation. The guy who was touting the Tenor on this website in comparison to the MA2 is likely to (i) have a financial interest in the success of Tenor, and/or (2) be tone deaf. (Don't beat me up; I admit that this is an emotional response.)
