Actually my life is a little complicated. My home
is near Nice, but mostly I'm in London. The M60s
are in Valbonne (i.e. near Nice). If you get to
London from time to time maybe we could get
together.As for the buzzzz... I have tried lots of things.
None of them have worked. I tried putting some
fancy, expensive damping material inside the
xfmr cover. Since using separate outlets
improves things, I tried putting a 2R2 resistor
in each lead of the xfmr (corresponding roughly
to the mains wiring resistance) and a 2uF
polyprop (motor run) across the primary. This
made no significant difference (although it is
all still in place).In my case the noise is clearly audible during
total silence at maybe 10 ft. Under normal
conditions it isn't really noticeable.John
