I'm in Brighton. Whereabouts in France are you? If it was Dieppe I could nip over and we could compare hums!I'm not absolutely positive it's the driver transformer. The noise seems to be from that area. I'll take the casing off today and try to make sure.
The mechanical noise is a problem. My preamp's PSU makes the same hum, so having it and two M-60s all buzzing away at the same frequency is going to be intrusive. A bit of damping may help. The main priority is sorting out the hum coming through the speakers. It's not loud but is audible on quiet passages of music.
